January 27
Acting I class will be working on observation and memory.
Acting II class will continue to work on classic paintings, and will use those characteristics in other scenes as well, adding use of all five senses. Please continue to think about your paintings. If you haven't done this lesson yet, it really only takes about 10 minutes to think through the following:
What is the scene about, Who am I, Where am I, What am I doing, What do I want, Why do I want it, and What do I have to do to get it?

FOOD ALLERGIES
One of our home school students has a severe nut allergy. It is very important that all parents know that we have a child with a severe nut allergy, and for that reason PLEASE do not bring lunches or snacks that have nuts of any kind. If you eat nuts before class (peanut butter, banana nut muffins, etc) before class, please wash hands and brush teeth.
If your child as any other allergy we should be aware of, please remind us on Wednesday.

Beauty and Beast Solos
For those of you interested in auditioning for solos in the song "Beauty and the Beast," we will have auditions in class on Wednesday, January 27 during music. Work on the song at home, and we will have auditions together in class. The solos will be broken up as listed below. Guys will more than likely get the lower solos, and girls the higher solos. Two different youtube clips to practice with: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yJnvv_R2rk&feature=related, & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGSqt2fD4Xo
Solo 1: Tale as old as time. True as it can be.
Solo 2: Barely even friends. Then somebody bends, unexpectedly.
Solo 3: Just a little change. Small to say the least.
Solo 4: Both a little scared. Neither one prepared.
All: Beauty and the Beast
All: Ever just the same. Ever a surprise. Ever as before, ever just as sure, as the sun will rise.
Solo 5: Tale as old as time. Tune as old as song.
Solo 6: Bittersweet and strange. Finding you can change. Learning you were wrong.
Solo 7: Certain as the sun. Rising in the East.
All: Tale as old as time. Song as old as rhyme, Beauty and the Beast.
Solo 8: Tale as old as time.
Solo 9: Song as old as rhyme.
All: Beauty and the Beast.
